More Challenge Heaven layouts for October

Ebony And Ivory Challenge - Use Black OR White with Blue and Yello, plus at least 2 circles.
Scott, Glen and the kids causing havoc at Calypso Beach, Wet N Wild, April 2010.

Theme Challenge - Birthdays - use a photo with a cake in it.
This was the 3rd birthday cake for Beau this year. One can never have enough cake!!!

Out of the Hat October Challenge

The criteria was - use scallops, handmade embellishment and book paper.
This is an old photo of Regan taken when he was nearly 2 at North Curl Curl. Look at the size of him!!!

123 October Challenge

Criteria Green, the Word "GO" and handcut title.

This layout is in the same style as "Calypso Bay" so I could make them into a double layout. Scott, Kaleah, Jack, Marli, Cooper, Regan, Sally and Glen on the Aqua Racer at Wet N Wild April 2010.
I have traced the alphas in reverse on some foam craft sheets then hand cut them using the craft knife and scissors. I had forgotten what a pain that can be, very fiddly, but at least the foam doesn't tear like cardstock or pp can.

The Dreaded School Photos

2 more quick and easy layouts to share featuring more products from the Bella Summerhouse Collection

Regan did so well in this years NAPLAN tests, achieving well above the expected level for Grade 3. We are so very very proud of him.

I think this will be one of the school photos Kaleah will hate in years to come.

Challenge Heaven October Number Challenge

The number challenge for this month at Challenge Heaven was to use 1 of everything. Even for me, as a very simple scrapper, I found this one a bit of a struggle. Probably more with the title than anything else. I have used 1 cardstock, 1 pp, 1 photo, 1 word title, 1 alpha, 1 stamp, 1 ticket, 1 button, 1 ribbon, 1 staple, 1 crochet circle, 1 vellum quote, 1 acrylic frame.

The Claytons Challenge Layout

The challenge layout you do when your're not doing a challenge!!! I bought these pp's at the end of last month for the colour challenge of Teal and Purple at Challenge Heaven but didn't complete a layout before the end of month deadline. When I finally got a chance to play, I then thought I could use it for Aust Top 50 Oct Technique Challenge. I used the paper punch technique on the layout but got carried away and totally forgot about the other 2 criteria of using lace and staples until after I had finished. I didn't want to change anything on the layout and didn't want it to look like I was adding a bit of lace as an afterthought, so now it is a "just because" layout. The Top 50 challenge will just have to wait.

Kraft it Up October Challenge

This is the 1st month I have completed a challenge for Kraft it Up, in my quest to complete more challenges this month. A great sketch which was so easy to work with.

2 Quick Layouts

Finally I got the chance to play with these yummy papers and embellishments from the Bella Ruby Rock it Summerhouse collection, which arrived just before we went away last month. These papers are gorgeous and really didn't need anything extra. Apart from some Glimmer mist on the fantastic 2Crafty chipboard

Kaleah riding her bike on the beach at Brooms Head at low tide.

Kaleah (again) wishing the weather would clear and the surf would calm down so she could get out there on her board.

Not much scrapping for Sept

A pretty quiet month for me scrapping wise in September. We were busy getting ready for our camping holiday and then enjoying spending time together on holidays. It was a very wet camping trip, but thankfully the weather cleared enough for us to get out and about and have fun.
These are my layouts for the monthly challenges at Challenge Heaven. Only 3 completed this month.
Number challenge - 4 word title, 3 pp's, 2 pieces of ribbon and 1 photo

The journalling reads - When she is not doing cartwheels on the netball court she is doing the splitz!!
Sketch Challenge Beau and Noah showing us their surf skills.

Ebony and Ivory Challenge - Black and White with grey and boy photo

Determined to scrap more in October!!
