FA January Monthly Challenge

Paula is the monthly challenge queen and to kick start the New Year her challenge was to ctreate a layout showing your goals / resolutions for 2010. The criteria was to use at least 1 photo and a positive quote.

Kaleah took this photo of me out by the pool, and as much as I hate photos of me and featuring in layouts, one of my goals for this year (actually I have said this for the past few years!!) is to step out from behind the camera more.

2 Quick Layouts

It must be an 8 yr old boy thing, because lately whenever the camera comes out Regan either hides, pulls faces or makes the peace sign. This layout is based on a Page Maps sketch.

Finally I have scrapped Regan's award. The star embellishment is from our recent swap at Forever Always. Not too sure who made it but thanks hepas!!

Summertime Fun

We find a delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body.

A few photos of the kids enjoying summer holidays.

Beau showing no fear at all jumping into the pool. He is such a little fish and its hard to get him out of the water.

Regan and Kaleah in the surf.
I am blown away by how well they are surfing at the moment, especially with the tourist crowds out in the water. The waves might look small in the photos, but these were the tail end of them and were probably about 3 feet, and a long ride. Regan is very quickly outgrowing his board and not too sure if we can wait until his birthday in November for his first fibreglass board??

This layout is inspired by Sonia's layout she did for Page Maps Jan sketch.

Happy New Year!!!

Yes I know I am a day behind. Better late than never.
I am not really one for making New Years resolutions, I prefer to set myself goals. Now don't ask me why but for some reason my head tells me this is more achievable. So one of my goals for this year is inspired by this quote -

"Each day is a new canvas to paint upon. Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness, and at the end of the day you don't look at it and wish you had painted something different."

Here's cheers to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010!!!
